Read this before the opportunity
This one demonstrates far better than it performs. Its content score is 9.5 against a business score of 6.1 — a gap of 3.4 points. That pattern is exactly what the get-rich-with-AI industry is built on: strategies that look spectacular in a short video and disappoint in practice.
Lowest barrier of the twelve and the money arrives visibly, in public, attached to a video.

Check you are allowed to sell
Free sampleIn writing: what you can sell in your country, and what you cannot.
In this step you check the rules that decide whether this strategy exists for you at all. TikTok Shop availability, affiliate commission access and product categories differ per country and change often. Ten minutes now prevents a fortnight of making videos for a programme you cannot join.
1 — What applies to meI want to earn commission by making content for TikTok Shop products. My country: [COUNTRY]. My account: [FOLLOWER COUNT] followers, account age [ACCOUNT AGE]. Explain what I need to check, and exactly where on TikTok's own site to check each one: 1. Whether TikTok Shop and the affiliate programme operate in my country. 2. The requirements to join — followers, account age, video history, verification. 3. Which product categories are restricted or banned. 4. What disclosure the platform requires on commission content, and how it must appear. 5. What gets commission content taken down or an account restricted. For each: the page to look at, and what a "no" looks like. Do not tell me the current thresholds from memory — tell me where the current number is published.
Claude to know what to look for; TikTok's own Seller and Creator centres for the current answer.
- [COUNTRY]
- Where your account is registered. This decides almost everything here.
- [FOLLOWER COUNT]
- Honest number. Some programmes have a floor.
- [ACCOUNT AGE]
- New accounts face limits older ones do not.
Then: Write down what you confirmed and where you read it, with the date. These rules change, and in six months you will not remember which version you planned against.
Where the prompt stops: Any threshold a model quotes you may be out of date. Only the number on TikTok's own page counts, and only for your country.

Pick five products you believe in
In the packageFive products you would defend on camera, and why.
In this step you choose what you will put your face behind. Commission tempts people into recommending things they have never touched, which works once and then costs the account. Picking on what you can demonstrate is slower and survives.
- 03
Write hooks, pick the best three
In the packageTwenty hooks, cut down to the three you will film.
In this step you write the first two seconds, because on this platform nothing else gets watched if those fail. Writing twenty and keeping three is the right ratio — hooks are cheap to write and expensive to film.
- 04
Film your first three videos
In the packageThree finished videos with the disclosure in place.
In this step you produce. A script for a thirty-second video is mostly a shot list: what is on screen when, and what the viewer must see rather than be told. Disclosure goes in from the start, not bolted on afterwards — it is required, and doing it plainly reads as confidence.
- 05
Post them and answer comments
In the packageVideos live, comments answered, and one clear signal about what works.
In this step the videos go out and you work the comments, which is where the actual selling happens on this platform. Then you look at the one metric that matters at this stage — whether people watched past the hook — instead of the vanity numbers underneath it.
- 06
Keep what worked, set a rhythm
In the packageA weekly rhythm built on the one thing that worked.
In this step you turn a test into a habit, or stop honestly. Most people quit at video nine or keep making videos nobody watches; both are avoidable by deciding in advance what would count as working. You end with a schedule you can hold for a month.
5 of the 6 steps are in AI Money
The sample above is a real step, not a teaser — it is the same depth as the rest. The package adds the other 5 for this strategy, and the same treatment for the other eleven.
Your first 7 days
- 1Check that your account is registered in NL or BE and read the Branded Content Policy in full.
- 2Pick a product category that is not on the excluded list.
- 3Make three videos about products you would genuinely recommend, disclosure toggle on.
- 4Track which format holds attention past three seconds — nothing else matters yet.
Your first 30 days
- 1Post consistently in one category rather than testing five.
- 2Keep the disclosure toggle on for every commission video, without exception.
- 3Record commission rates per seller yourself; the platform does not publish them.
- 4Decide on real numbers whether this category converts before adding a second.

Want the research?— what it is, what it costs, and how we scored it
What you can actually watch
A video going up, then orders and commissions arriving underneath it.
What it is
You make short video about products in the TikTok Shop catalogue and earn a commission on what sells through your videos (affiliate), or you sell your own products through a TikTok Shop (seller). AI helps with scripting, editing, variations, subtitles and research.
Why this opportunity
Unlike the other video strategies, there is a defined paying counterparty: the seller pays the commission out of the sale price. That is structurally stronger evidence of demand than an opaque ad fund. The platform actively encourages the model rather than tolerating it, which is the decisive difference from YouTube automation. TikTok Shop has been live in the Netherlands and Belgium since 15 June 2026 (Tier 1, two sources).
Who this is for
For someone who is already comfortable on camera or with fast editing, and who will read the category rules before picking a product. Not for someone planning to run it unattended — the disclosure obligation and the category checks require human judgement per video.
The business model
Affiliate: commission per unit sold, set per product by each seller. Seller: you are a distance seller with everything that entails. Our research is explicit that these two should not share a page, because the risk profiles are not comparable.
How money is made
Commission per sale, paid by the seller through TikTok. Rates are set per product by each seller rather than published by the platform, so anyone quoting you a standard rate is guessing.
Who pays
For the affiliate, the paying party is the seller. For the seller, it is the consumer directly. In both cases TikTok controls the transaction and the payout.
Finding customers
Entirely algorithmic, inside one app. There is no sales conversation and no email list — the feed is the whole funnel. That is the strength (no acquisition cost) and the weakness (no control, no ownership).
Delivery
Affiliate: pick a product, make the video, switch the disclosure toggle on, post, and get paid on conversion. Seller: purchasing, stock, shipping, returns, warranty and consumer law on top of all that.
Where AI actually helps
High in production — script, edit, variations, subtitles, translation — and low in the reason anyone buys. Conversion rests on the credibility of the recommendation, which is exactly the element AI does not supply.
Skills you need
Low to medium for the affiliate route; medium to high for the seller route, where purchasing, margin, logistics and compliance are the job.
What it costs to start
Affiliate: very low — a phone and an editing subscription. Seller: substantial, because you carry stock and return risk plus the full obligations of an EU distance seller.
How to price it
You do not set the price as an affiliate; you choose which products to promote. Choose on commission rate times conversion likelihood, not on commission rate alone.
Common mistakes
Walking into a closed category. Since 31 August 2026 TikTok's Branded Content Policy counts affiliate commission content as branded content, and in the Netherlands and Belgium that closes exactly the high-margin niches guru content recommends: financial services, supplements and vitamins, medicines, gambling, alcohol and dating, with weight loss and get-rich-quick banned worldwide (Tier 1, VERIFIED). The policy also puts responsibility on you: "You are responsible for ensuring that any Branded Content that you post complies with all applicable laws and regulations." Second mistake: mass-producing across accounts, which is the same pattern YouTube named inauthentic content on 15 July 2025.
Scaling
Scalability 7 for the affiliate variant. Scale comes from repeatable formats in one product category, not from posting the same video across more accounts — that pattern is what platforms now demote.
The version that holds up
Own one product category, build relationships with the sellers in it, and negotiate rates rather than taking the listed ones. Note what cannot be known yet: the market is under three months old here, so anyone showing you a Dutch case study with revenue figures from this period is showing you something that cannot have come from this market.
Time to first revenue
No responsible estimate
Days to a first policy-compliant video, assuming your account is registered in NL or BE and you meet the affiliate programme's entry requirements — requirements our research could not verify, so that assumption is not checkable. Time to first commission cannot responsibly be estimated: it depends entirely on algorithmic distribution the platforms do not publish. Any range you read for the Dutch market is taken from another market or invented.
How it scored
Ten axes, scored. Risk scored 7 out of 10, where higher is worse.
The state of this market
Available here, with a catch worth knowing before you start. TikTok Shop launched in the Netherlands and Belgium on 15 June 2026, so the market question is settled. The real constraint is the Branded Content Policy in force since 31 August 2026, which counts affiliate commission content as branded content and closes exactly the high-margin niches the guru content recommends: financial services, supplements and vitamins, medicines, gambling, alcohol and dating are all excluded here, and weight loss and get-rich-quick are banned worldwide. Treat it as new rather than proven: the market is under three months old, and commission rates are set per product by each seller rather than published by the platform, so anyone quoting you a standard rate is guessing.
