Editorial policy
What we will and will not publish, and the order in which we decide things. Written down so you can hold us to it.
The ranking rule
Every recommendation is decided in this order:
- 1Product quality — Is it actually good?
- 2Fit for you — Is it good for the person reading this page, in their situation?
- 3Business value — Does it earn its cost?
- 4Commission — Only then, and only as a tie-breaker.
Commission may influence which tools we take the time to review. It may never change what we say about one. The commercial side is disclosed separately.
What our evidence labels mean
- Verified
- We read the official source ourselves and it says what we say it says.
- Likely
- Several good independent sources agree, but we could not confirm it at the source.
- Uncertain
- Credible sources disagree, or the information is old enough to distrust.
- Not verified
- We have not checked it. Treat it as a lead, not a fact.
- Contradicted
- Sources directly conflict. We say which and why, rather than picking quietly.
Scores out of ten are an editorial assessment on a published rubric. They are a structured judgement, not a measurement, and we label them as such everywhere they appear.
Prices and dates
Every price carries a link to the vendor’s own pricing page and the date we last checked it. Where we could not verify a price at the source, the page says so rather than showing a number — a stale figure with no date does more damage than no figure at all. Entries that stop being true are marked deprecated and stay visible, because a page that quietly disappears teaches you nothing.
What we will never say
- Guaranteed income, guaranteed returns, guaranteed customers
- Anyone can make €10,000 a month
- Risk-free, passive, or automatic
- Income figures we cannot substantiate for a typical person
- Simulated revenue presented as anyone's earnings
- Testimonials from customers who do not exist
This is not modesty. Regulators treat a chart or dashboard demonstrating possible results as an earnings claim in its own right, and enforcement against get-rich-with-AI marketing has been active and expensive. It is also, more simply, the thing that separates a researched product from the rest of this category.
Demonstrations
Dashboards on this site are labelled live, demo or simulation, permanently and in the same frame as the data, so the label cannot be cropped out of a screen recording. Demonstrations never show money. We show what a workflow does; we do not show what someone supposedly earned.
Testimonials
Real customers, real words, real results, or nothing. We do not write testimonials, we do not generate them, and we do not use stock photography to imply a person exists. If we have no testimonials yet, the site will simply not have any.
Corrections
When we get something wrong we change it and say what changed. Our own research already contains one such correction: an early figure on directory traffic decline was overstated and was revised down once we checked it against the original measurement.
