AI SEARCH & RESEARCH
You.com
Paid links. We earn a commission if you buy through links on this page. It never changes our ranking — see how we rank.
Pricing
We do not reprint prices. They change too often for that to be honest, and a number on our page with no date is worse than sending you to the source.
How we rated it
What it is
An AI search engine that answers questions with citations, with modes for research, code and writing, and a choice of underlying models.
Who it is for
People who want cited answers rather than a page of links.
Where it is strongest
Research questions where you need to check the source. The citations are the feature — an answer you cannot verify is worth little for work.
Where it falls short
Answer quality varies by topic and is weakest on recent or niche subjects. The interface changes often. And it competes with assistants that now search the web natively, which narrows the reason to use it.
Our verdict
Recommended for cited research. Check the citations actually say what the summary claims — they sometimes do not, and that is the failure mode that matters.
Editorial assessment. We earn a commission on some links; it does not change the ranking.
