Who it is for
Small businesses outside the Netherlands who want accounting their accountant can also use.
Where it is strongest
Bank reconciliation. It is the daily task in small-business accounting and Xero makes it quick, which is most of why people stay.
Where it falls short
Dutch VAT and filing are not its home ground. Payroll availability varies by country. And the app ecosystem means recurring costs beyond the subscription.
Our verdict
Recommended for international small businesses. In the Netherlands, Moneybird or e-Boekhouden fit the local rules better.
