How we rated it
What it is
AI contract drafting and review inside Microsoft Word, trained on legal language: suggests clauses, flags unusual terms and benchmarks against market standards.
Who it is for
Lawyers and in-house legal teams doing contract work in Word.
Where it is strongest
First-pass review. Flagging unusual or missing clauses before a lawyer reads it properly saves the tedious part of the work.
Where it falls short
It assists lawyers; it does not replace legal judgement, and using it that way is how people get hurt. Trained predominantly on common-law contracts, so it fits Dutch and continental practice less well. And confidential contracts leaving your systems is a decision to make deliberately.
Our verdict
Recommended for legal professionals as a first pass. Not a substitute for advice, and least reliable exactly where European contract law differs from American.
