Pricing
We do not reprint prices. They change too often for that to be honest, and a number on our page with no date is worse than sending you to the source.
How we rated it
What it is
Google's research assistant: you give it documents, and it answers questions using only those documents, with citations back to the source. It also generates an audio discussion of the material.
Who it is for
Anyone working through a stack of documents — research, contracts, reports — who needs answers tied to what the papers actually say.
Where it is strongest
Grounded question-answering over your own sources. Because it cites, you can check it, which makes it usable for work where being wrong matters.
Where it falls short
Limited to the sources you give it, which is the point and also the limit. Source size and count are capped. And the audio overviews are impressive and shallow — good for a first pass, not a substitute for reading.
Our verdict
Recommended for document-heavy research, and the citations are what set it apart from asking a general assistant. Do not mistake the audio feature for understanding the material.
