Where it is strongest
Meetings where a visible recording bot would change the conversation. Combining your own rough notes with the transcript produces better summaries than either alone.
Where it falls short
Mac only at the time of writing. Recording without a visible indicator is exactly the thing that needs you to tell people out loud — convenient and ethically sharper than it looks. And it is one person's tool, not a shared record.
Our verdict
Recommended for note-taking in meeting-heavy work, with one condition: say that you are recording. The absence of a bot makes that your job rather than the software's.
