What it is
Code completion inside your existing editor, plus a chat that knows the file you are in. Works in VS Code, the JetBrains editors, Neovim and others.
Who it is for
Developers who want help while typing and do not want to change editors. The least disruptive way to add AI to how you already work.
Where it is strongest
The boilerplate: tests, repetitive handlers, the function you have written twenty times before. It finishes the thought you already had.
Where it falls short
Weaker than Cursor or Claude Code at changes spanning several files. Suggestions are plausible more reliably than they are correct. And the free tier is limited to specific groups.
Our verdict
Recommended as the safe choice, particularly in a team where everyone uses a different editor. For deeper work the agents have overtaken it.
