SCRAPING & DATA EXTRACTION
Diffbot
Paid links. We earn a commission if you buy through links on this page. It never changes our ranking — see how we rank.
Pricing
We do not reprint prices. They change too often for that to be honest, and a number on our page with no date is worse than sending you to the source.
How we rated it
What it is
Extracts structured data from web pages automatically using machine vision rather than site-specific rules, plus a large knowledge graph of companies and people.
Who it is for
Developers who need structured data from many different sites without writing a parser for each.
Where it is strongest
Extraction across sites you have never seen. Because it does not depend on per-site rules, it does not break when one of them redesigns.
Where it falls short
Expensive. Accuracy varies by page type and is weakest on exactly the unusual layouts you were hoping it would handle. And the knowledge graph is a separate product with its own cost.
Our verdict
Recommended when you need structure from many unknown sites. For a handful of known ones, a normal scraper is cheaper and more predictable.
Editorial assessment. We earn a commission on some links; it does not change the ranking.
