Pricing
We do not reprint prices. They change too often for that to be honest, and a number on our page with no date is worse than sending you to the source.
How we rated it
What it is
Anthropic's coding agent, run from the terminal. It reads your repository, edits files, runs tests and commits — you describe the change and review the result, rather than copying snippets between a browser and an editor.
Who it is for
Developers who already live in a terminal. It assumes you can read a diff and judge whether it is right; without that it will happily do the wrong thing confidently.
Where it is strongest
Changes that touch many files at once — a rename across a codebase, adding a feature that needs a migration, a route and a test — where the tedium is the work and the judgement is small.
Where it falls short
No free tier. It needs supervision: it is fast enough to make a mess faster than you can read it. And it works far better in a repository with tests than in one without, because it cannot otherwise tell whether it broke something.
Our verdict
The strongest of the coding agents we looked at, but only for people who already code. For a beginner it produces work they cannot evaluate, which is worse than no work at all.
Editorial assessment. We earn a commission on some links; it does not change the ranking.
